The Cliffs of Moher, Ireland

Bundled to shoot or fall into the ocean... Whatever happens first.

There are so many photos from my roadtrips with Jess that it makes the most sense to break it down by the day. Thousands of people visit the Cliffs of Moher every year, I knew it was the place to see on the west coast of the country, but nothing could prepare me for how incredible it actually was. Never have I felt so small in my life, nor has the fear of falling off of a cliff into the angry ocean below been so real.

There are tiny specks of people on the top of the cliff, for a perspective.

It was windy, it was rainy, it was chilly; it was awesome. I don't mind shooting on grey days, kind of like a metaphor for life, can't always be sunshine. Sometimes you have to take what you have a run with it.

I spent ten minutes with this bird, we had a good bond.

The mark we leave in life is as big as the footprints we make.

The mark we leave in life is as big as the footprints we make.

It's good to stop and take it in sometimes. It's too easy to hide behind a camera or your phone. Stop and smell the ocean, you're life depends on it.

iPhone 6 panoramic photo. Pretty awesome.

iPhone 6 panoramic photo. Pretty awesome.

This shot it straight out of camera, it is the most honest contrast of the day. It was such an experience to witness this incredibly larger than life rock face. I had seen it in photos a hundred times, but not until I was there breathing it in do you realize how incredibly magnificent it is and how small we are.

By the time we made it back to the car, I was frozen. My gloves were soaked from the rain, my jeans were wet and I was shivering, so we didn't get to the other side of the cliffs. As much as I would have liked to see them all, I can't wait to go back. You would need a whole day or days to be able to see the entire park. As they say, you only live once? Well I disagree, you live everyday, and once in awhile, it's good to look back and see that in all the time I was stressing about the what ifs, I've lived a pretty great life with amazing friends and have had some amazing experiences. So am I sad I didn't see all of the Cliffs of Moher? No, I'll be back. I will definitely be back.
